Shipper tool

How much trailer will your shipment use?

Enter your pallets and weight to see how they fit on a 53' trailer floor — and whether you're looking at a full truckload.

Assumes a 53' trailer with about 100" of usable width and 630" of usable length. Reefer usable length and payload are slightly lower because of the refrigeration unit.

Pinwheeling

Turning 48×40 pallets sideways (40" along the length) fits more rows — up to 30 single-stacked instead of 26.

Weigh out vs. cube out

Heavy freight like tile or beverages hits the weight limit before the trailer is full. Light freight fills the floor first.

Axle weights matter

Even under the total limit, heavy pallets bunched at one end can overload an axle. Spread weight evenly.

Planning estimate only

This tool uses typical trailer dimensions and payloads for general planning. Actual capacity depends on the specific trailer, tractor, fuel load, pallet overhang, and axle distribution. It isn't a rate quote or a guarantee that a load is legal — dispatch confirms every load before booking.
